How to connect Claude to ReminderIt: the complete setup guide
A step-by-step guide to connecting Claude to ReminderIt with the hosted connector, from OAuth sign-in to your first verified reminder call.

Connecting Claude to ReminderIt takes a couple of minutes and, once it is done, you can schedule real phone-call reminders just by asking. This guide walks the whole path end to end, using the hosted connector so there is nothing to install and no API key to copy.
By the end you will have Claude linked to your account, your time zone confirmed, a first reminder booked, and a live test call to prove it works.
Before you start
You need a ReminderIt account at reminderit.com and a Claude client that supports connectors. Have the phone number you want ReminderIt to call to hand, since your reminders ring that number.
The hosted connector is the route we use here because it is the simplest: no pip install, no configuration file, and no API key to paste. You approve access through a secure sign-in instead.
Step 1 — add the connector
Open Claude's connector or integration settings and choose to add a custom connector. Enter the URL https://mcp.reminderit.com and confirm. Menu wording changes between Claude versions, so look for "connectors" or "custom connector" rather than an exact click-path.
Claude will register the connector and prepare to authenticate you with ReminderIt.
Step 2 — sign in with OAuth
Claude sends you to a ReminderIt OAuth screen. Sign in to your account and approve access. No API key changes hands — ReminderIt creates a per-client key for you automatically, and you can revoke it later at reminderit.com/api-keys.
Once you approve, Claude is connected and the ReminderIt tools become available in your conversation.
Step 3 — confirm your time zone
ReminderIt schedules against IANA time zones such as Europe/London, America/New_York or Asia/Kolkata, so times land correctly wherever you are. Tell Claude your zone, or confirm it when Claude asks.
This step matters most for recurring calls: a daily 8am reminder should mean 8am where you live, and confirming the zone up front avoids a call arriving an hour out.
Step 4 — create your first reminder and verify it
Try a concrete request: "Create a one-off reminder call for tomorrow at 9am my time to ring the pharmacy." Claude uses the create_reminder tool and reads the details back to you. For something recurring, ask for "every weekday at 8am" and it stores a cron schedule instead.
Now prove it works without waiting for the scheduled time. Say "ring my phone now to test it" and Claude uses test_call to place a live call straight away. If your phone rings and reads the message, you are set. You can then ask "what's coming up?" (list_upcoming) any time to review your schedule.
