Create reminder calls with Claude

Ask Claude in plain language, and ReminderIt rings your phone at the right time.

If you already talk to Claude every day, you can hand it your reminders too. ReminderIt connects to Claude through a hosted MCP connector, so a sentence like "call me at 7am tomorrow to take my tablets" becomes a real, scheduled outbound phone call.

There is nothing to install and no API key to paste. You approve access once through a secure sign-in screen, and from then on Claude works inside your own ReminderIt account.

Connect the ReminderIt connector once

Open your Claude client's connector or integration settings and add a custom connector pointing at https://mcp.reminderit.com. Claude sends you to a ReminderIt OAuth screen where you sign in and approve access. That is the whole setup. Behind the scenes ReminderIt creates a per-client key tied to your account, which you can revoke at any time from reminderit.com/api-keys. Because menu names shift between client versions, look for wording like "connectors", "integrations" or "custom connector" rather than an exact click-path.

Make your first reminder

Once connected, just describe what you want. Try: "Set a one-off reminder call for this Friday at 6pm my time to leave for the dentist." Claude calls the create_reminder tool in the background. ReminderIt schedules times against IANA time zones such as Europe/London or America/New_York, so Claude will confirm your zone before it books anything. A recurring request like "every weekday at 8am" becomes a cron schedule; a single date and time becomes a one-off. When the moment arrives, ReminderIt phones you and reads the reminder aloud in a natural voice.

Edit or cancel by chat

Changing plans is a sentence, not a settings screen. "Move my 8am wake-up call to 7:30" triggers update_reminder; "cancel the dentist reminder" triggers delete_reminder. You can ask "what reminders do I have?" (list_reminders) or "what's coming up this week?" (list_upcoming) to see everything Claude is managing for you. If you only want to drop a single occurrence of a recurring call, ask Claude to skip the next one and it uses skip_next_occurrence, leaving the rest of the schedule intact.

Check your usage

Every reminder draws from a pooled monthly allowance: five calls a month on Free, seventy on Pro. One voice call, or one WhatsApp fallback message when a call is missed, counts as one from that pool. Ask "how many calls have I used this month?" and Claude reads it back via get_usage, so you can pace your reminders instead of guessing. Inbound WhatsApp chat with ReminderIt does not count against this pool.

Test it, then stay in control

Before you rely on an important call, say "ring my phone now to test it" and Claude uses test_call to place a live call straight away, so you know the number and voice are right. Claude only ever sees and changes your own reminders. If you add someone else as a care-recipient, ReminderIt places a consent call to them first before it will ring their phone. You can withdraw Claude's access whenever you like at reminderit.com/api-keys.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an API key to use ReminderIt with Claude?

Not with the hosted connector. You add https://mcp.reminderit.com and sign in through OAuth once. A per-client key is created for you automatically and can be revoked at reminderit.com/api-keys.

Will Claude confirm my time zone?

Yes. ReminderIt schedules against IANA time zones, so Claude confirms your zone (for example Europe/London) before it books a reminder, to make sure the call lands at the right local time.

Can I test a reminder call before I trust it?

Yes. Ask Claude to ring your phone now and it uses the test_call tool to place a live call immediately, so you can check the number and hear the voice.

How many reminder calls do I get?

Free includes five calls a month and Pro includes seventy. Each voice call, or a WhatsApp fallback message for a missed call, draws one from the same pool. Chatting to set reminders is free.

Can Claude see other people's reminders?

No. Claude works only inside your own account. Adding another person as a care-recipient triggers a consent call to them before ReminderIt will ring their number.
