Who we are
ReminderIt ("we", "us") operates a call-based reminder service at reminderit.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and password hash (we never store your plaintext password).
- Google profile data (if you sign in with Google): your Google account identifier, email, name and profile picture.
- Phone number: used to place reminder calls and send WhatsApp messages; stored encrypted at rest.
- Reminder content: the titles, messages and schedules you create.
- Delivery logs: call and message outcomes, timestamps, destination country and metered cost.
- Technical data: IP address and device information for security and abuse prevention.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- To provide the service (performance of a contract): placing calls, sending messages, scheduling.
- Consent: for automated voice calls and WhatsApp messages to your own number.
- Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, and improving reliability.
- Legal obligations: tax and financial record-keeping.
Subprocessors
We share the minimum necessary data with vetted providers to operate the service:
- Twilio — outbound voice calls and phone verification.
- Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API) — WhatsApp message delivery.
- Google — Sign in with Google.
- Amazon Polly / ElevenLabs — text-to-speech voice synthesis.
- Our payment provider (Merchant of Record) — subscriptions and credit packs.
- Hosting and database providers — to run the application and store data securely.
Retention
We keep account and reminder data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase personal data promptly, retaining only anonymized financial records required by law.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR), you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account and data directly from Settings.
Security
We encrypt sensitive data such as phone numbers at rest, hash passwords with argon2id, redact personal data from logs, and enforce access controls and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protection seriously.
