Add ReminderIt as a connector in Claude for web

How to add ReminderIt to Claude for web as a remote connector, with OAuth sign-in and a revocable per-client key — no install and no key to copy.

Claude for web supports remote connectors, which makes adding ReminderIt about as easy as it gets. There is no package to install and no API key to copy — you paste one URL, sign in once, and Claude can start scheduling reminder calls.

This guide covers the hosted remote route specifically, and why it is a good fit when you are working in a browser.

Why the remote connector suits the web

In a browser you do not want to be editing config files or pasting secrets. The hosted remote connector avoids all of that: ReminderIt runs the MCP server, and Claude connects to it over the web.

You authorise access through a sign-in screen rather than handling a key yourself, which keeps the whole thing to a couple of clicks.

Add the connector by URL

In Claude's connector or integration settings, choose to add a custom connector and enter the URL https://mcp.reminderit.com. The exact menu label can differ as the interface evolves, so look for wording like "connectors" or "add custom connector".

Claude registers the connector and then hands you over to ReminderIt to sign in.

Sign in with OAuth

A ReminderIt OAuth screen opens. Sign in and approve access, and the connection is made. Nothing sensitive is pasted into Claude — ReminderIt issues a per-client key for you behind the scenes.

That key is scoped to this connection, so authorising Claude for web does not affect any other client you have connected.

A per-client key you can revoke

Because each connection gets its own key, you can manage them independently at reminderit.com/api-keys. If you stop using Claude for web, or you are ever unsure about a session, revoke that key and the connector stops working immediately.

Your other assistants keep running, and you can always re-authorise later by adding the connector again.

Try your first request

With the connector live, ask something concrete: "Create a reminder call for Monday at 7am my time to catch the early train." Claude uses create_reminder and confirms your time zone first. Ask "ring my phone now to test it" and it uses test_call so you can hear it work.

From there, "what reminders do I have?" and "cancel my Monday call" manage everything without leaving the browser.
