ChatGPT vs Claude for setting reminder calls
Both assistants use the same hosted ReminderIt connector and the same 25 tools. Here is a fair comparison and how to run both at once.

If you are choosing between ChatGPT and Claude to manage your reminder calls, the most important thing to know is that the ReminderIt side is identical. Both connect to the same hosted connector, use the same 25 tools and act in the same account. The difference is the assistant you prefer talking to, not the reminders themselves.
This is a fair look at what actually differs, what does not, and how to run both side by side if you like.
Same connector, same tools, same account
Whether you use ChatGPT or Claude, you connect the same hosted connector at https://mcp.reminderit.com and approve access through OAuth. Both then see the same 25 ReminderIt tools, from create_reminder and list_upcoming to set_reminder_voice and get_usage.
Crucially, both act in your one ReminderIt account. A reminder you create through Claude shows up when you ask ChatGPT to run list_reminders, and vice versa. There is no separate ChatGPT set of reminders and Claude set; there is just your account.
What genuinely differs
Because the ReminderIt capabilities are identical, the honest differences are in the assistants, not the features. You may find one client's connector setup, conversational style or general interface suits you better than the other. That is a matter of personal preference.
What does not differ is anything ReminderIt-specific: no voice, schedule type or tool is available in one and missing in the other. Be wary of any comparison that claims one assistant can do a ReminderIt thing the other cannot, because they share the exact same tools.
Running both with separate keys
You are not forced to choose. The hosted connector creates a per-client key when you approve access, so connecting both ChatGPT and Claude simply gives you two separate keys in the same account.
That means you can set a reminder from whichever assistant you happen to be using, and they all land in one place. Revoking one key at reminderit.com/api-keys disconnects that assistant without affecting the other.
A worked example across both
Say you create a weekday 8am call through Claude with create_reminder and cron 0 8 * * 1-5 in your IANA zone. Later, in ChatGPT, you ask "what have I got scheduled?" and it runs list_reminders and reads that same call back to you.
You could then adjust it from ChatGPT with update_reminder, and Claude would see the change too. The assistants are interchangeable windows onto one account, so use whichever is open.
How to choose
Pick the assistant you already enjoy using day to day, since the reminder experience rides on top of it. If you are undecided, connect both, try setting and editing a reminder from each, and keep whichever conversation felt more natural.
Whatever you choose, your reminders and your control stay in ReminderIt: the same tools, the same account, and the same per-client keys you can revoke whenever you want.
