Setting phone reminders with Claude.ai web — remote MCP guide
No Python, no install — connect ReminderIt to Claude.ai web in two minutes and set phone call reminders from your browser.
Claude.ai's remote MCP connector lets you add external tool servers without installing anything on your computer. ReminderIt's hosted MCP server runs at mcp.reminderit.com, so you just paste the URL, complete a short OAuth flow, and you're ready to set phone call reminders from any device where you're logged into Claude.
How the remote MCP connector works
Unlike Claude Desktop's local MCP servers (which run as processes on your machine), remote MCP connectors are HTTPS endpoints that Claude.ai calls directly. ReminderIt runs one at mcp.reminderit.com — authenticated via your account's API key.
Connecting in three steps
- In Claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. 2. Enter the URL: https://mcp.reminderit.com/mcp and give it a name like ReminderIt. 3. Click Add — Claude.ai will redirect you to a short OAuth consent screen on ReminderIt. Click Allow access and you're done.
Claude now has access to all 13 ReminderIt tools in every conversation on Claude.ai.
What you can ask once connected
You can ask Claude to create a one-off reminder ("remind me to call the dentist at 3pm tomorrow"), a recurring one ("wake me up at 6:30am on weekdays"), update an existing reminder's time, check how many call credits you have left, or add a care recipient for a family member. Claude handles the scheduling logic and ReminderIt makes the call.
