Ask Claude to be your morning wake-up call
Set a recurring early wake-up call through Claude and ReminderIt: how to phrase it, how the WhatsApp Done/Snooze follow-up works, and how to skip weekends.

A phone alarm is easy to swipe off in your sleep. A ringing phone that reads your reminder aloud is a different kind of wake-up. With ReminderIt and Claude you can set a recurring early call in one sentence.
Here is how to phrase it, how snooze actually works, and how to spare yourself on weekends.
Setting a recurring early call
A wake-up call is simply a recurring reminder at an early time. Ask Claude: "Be my wake-up call every weekday at 6:15am, Europe/London." It confirms the time zone and calls create_reminder with a weekday schedule.
Because it repeats, Claude stores it as a recurring reminder, so you set it once and it rings each morning without further effort.
What the call does, and how snooze really works
The wake-up call itself is one-way: ReminderIt rings your phone, reads your reminder aloud in a natural voice, and hangs up. You cannot snooze by talking during that call.
Snooze lives in the follow-up. If you do not answer the wake-up call, ReminderIt can send you a WhatsApp message with Done and Snooze options. Tap Snooze and it rings you again in about ten minutes; tap Done and it leaves you be. You can also manage any reminder anytime by messaging ReminderIt on WhatsApp.
Skipping weekends
The cleanest way to spare your weekends is to set the call for weekdays only from the start. Ask Claude for "every weekday at 7am" and it schedules the recurring reminder with a weekday cron such as 0 7 * * 1-5, so Saturday and Sunday are simply never called.
If you already have a daily call, you can narrow it or pause it instead. "Pause my wake-up call" runs pause_reminder and "resume my wake-up call" brings it back; for a single lie-in, "Skip tomorrow's wake-up call" uses skip_next_occurrence to drop just that one morning while the rest of the routine continues.
Example: a weekday 6am call, tested tonight
Say: "Call me every weekday at 6am to get up for the gym, America/New_York." Claude confirms America/New_York and calls create_reminder. Ask "What is my wake-up call set to?" and list_reminders shows the schedule.
Test it before you trust it with your morning: "Ring my phone now to test it." Claude calls test_call and your phone rings immediately, so you know the 6am call will land.
Tuning it over time
Waking a little too early or too late? "Move my wake-up call to 6:30am" has Claude run update_reminder. Going away for a week? Pause it, then resume when you are back.
You can adjust any of this from Claude, or manage the same reminders directly at reminderit.com.
