ReminderIt tools not showing in Claude — how to fix

Connected but Claude cannot see any ReminderIt actions? Here is how to get the 25 tools to load again, ending with a test_call that proves it all works.

Sometimes the connector shows as linked but Claude behaves as though it has never heard of ReminderIt. This is a tools-loading problem rather than a login one: the connection exists, but the list of actions has not come through. Here is how to make the full set of 25 tools reappear, and how to confirm they are really working.

Tell the difference first

It helps to know which problem you have. If Claude says it cannot access your account at all, that is a connection issue. If it acts friendly but insists it has no way to set a reminder, the connector is linked but the tools did not load. This guide is about the second case.

A quick test: ask "What can you do with ReminderIt?" If Claude cannot name any actions, the tool list is missing and the steps below apply.

Refresh or re-add the connector

Tool lists are fetched when a connector loads, and that fetch can stall. In your client's connector settings, refresh or toggle the ReminderIt connector off and on so it pulls the list again. This alone resolves most cases.

If a refresh does nothing, remove the connector and add it back using the exact URL https://mcp.reminderit.com. A clean re-add forces a fresh handshake and a fresh tool list.

Re-authorise so the tools are permitted

The tools only appear once your OAuth approval is fully in place. If you added the connector but did not complete the consent screen, Claude connects with nothing granted. Run the OAuth flow again and approve it to the end.

Make sure you are signed in to ReminderIt at reminderit.com when you approve, so the grant attaches to your account. Once approved, the full set of 25 tools should populate.

Confirm all 25 tools returned

After a refresh and a completed authorisation, ask again: "What can you do with ReminderIt?" Claude should now describe managing reminders, checking usage, previewing voices and handling care-recipients. That spread tells you the 25 tools loaded rather than a partial set.

If only a few actions appear, the list came through incomplete. Toggle the connector once more; a second refresh usually completes it.

Prove it with a test_call

The surest confirmation is to exercise a tool. Say "Ring my phone now to test ReminderIt." Claude runs test_call and ReminderIt places a real call to your verified number straightaway. When your phone rings, you know the tools are live end to end.

If you would rather not spend a call, ask "Who am I on ReminderIt?" to run whoami instead, which confirms the connection without using your allowance. A test_call does draw one call from your monthly pool of 5 on Free or 70 on Pro.
