15 ChatGPT prompts for reminder calls

Fifteen ready-to-use ChatGPT prompts for setting and managing ReminderIt phone calls, each written to be clear, complete and time-zone-aware.

The quickest way to get a reliable reminder call is to hand ChatGPT a complete sentence: what to say, when, and in which time zone. Below are fifteen prompts you can copy, tweak and reuse.

Swap in your own times and zones. They use real IANA zone names because that is what ReminderIt schedules against.

Once-off reminders

  1. "Call me tomorrow at 3pm Europe/London to ring the dentist back."

  2. "Phone me on Friday at 7:45am America/New_York to leave early for the airport."

  3. "Set a one-off call for the 30th at 6pm Asia/Kolkata to renew my passport online." Each of these gives ChatGPT a specific date and time, so it creates a single call with create_reminder rather than a repeating one.

Recurring reminders

  1. "Call me every weekday at 8am Europe/London to take my morning tablets."

  2. "Ring me every Sunday at 5pm America/Chicago to plan the week ahead."

  3. "Remind me by phone every 3 days at 9am Asia/Kolkata to water the plants." Words like every weekday or every 3 days become a cron expression such as 0 8 * * 1-5, or an interval in days, when ChatGPT calls create_reminder.

Medication and health

  1. "Set a twice-daily call at 8am and 8pm Europe/London to take my blood pressure medication."

  2. "Call my mother every day at 9am America/Los_Angeles to remind her about her tablets." Adding another person makes them a care-recipient, which triggers a consent call to their number before any reminders go out.

  3. "Remind me every Monday at 10am Europe/London to reorder my prescription." Reminder calls are a helpful nudge, not medical advice, so keep the wording practical.

Wake-ups and daily routine

  1. "Give me a wake-up call every weekday at 6:30am Europe/London."

  2. "Call me at 1pm America/New_York every day to stand up and stretch."

  3. "Ring me every Friday at 4pm Asia/Kolkata to back up my laptop." These are the small, easily forgotten habits a spoken call is good at catching, because a ringing phone is harder to ignore than a silent notification.

Bills, admin, usage and cancelling

  1. "Call me on the 1st of every month at 9am Europe/London to pay the rent."

  2. "How many reminder calls have I used this month?" This uses get_usage; your allowance is 5 calls a month on Free and 70 on Pro, from one shared pool.

  3. "Cancel my 6:30am wake-up call." ChatGPT matches the reminder and removes it with delete_reminder. Whatever you set, confirm the time zone ChatGPT reads back before you rely on it.
