Appointment reminder calls, set by Claude
A missed appointment usually means a forgotten one. Set a day-before and morning-of reminder call with Claude so the date never slips your mind.

The appointments we miss are rarely the ones we did not care about; they are the ones that fell out of our heads on a busy day. A phone call cuts through in a way a silent notification does not. With ReminderIt connected to Claude, you can set a pre-appointment call in a single sentence.
Why a one-off reminder fits an appointment
Appointments happen on a specific date, so they call for a one-off reminder rather than a repeating schedule. In ReminderIt terms that is a reminder of type once, with a run_at set to the exact date and time you want the phone to ring.
You do not need to know that vocabulary. You describe the appointment and when to be reminded, and Claude fills in run_at for you.
The two-call pattern: day-before and morning-of
A single reminder is good; two is often better. A call the evening before gives you time to prepare, arrange transport, or fast if you need to. A call on the morning itself makes sure the day does not run away from you before you leave.
Because each is a separate one-off reminder, you can keep or cancel them independently. If the appointment moves, you reschedule both in the same chat.
An example you can copy
Try: "I have a dentist appointment on the 12th at 2:30pm, Europe/London. Call me at 6pm the day before, and again at 9am on the 12th, to remind me." Claude makes two create_reminder calls, both type once, one with run_at on the 11th at 18:00 and one on the 12th at 09:00.
Give the message something useful to say, like "Dentist at 2:30pm today, the surgery is a fifteen-minute drive." ReminderIt reads exactly that aloud when it rings.
What the call is, and is not
The reminder call is one-way. ReminderIt rings, reads your message in a natural voice, and hangs up. You cannot press a key or talk back during that call, so it is a prompt, not a conversation.
If you miss it, ReminderIt can fall back to a WhatsApp message so the reminder still reaches you. And any managing you want to do, like snoozing or marking it done, happens afterwards through the WhatsApp follow-up or by chatting with the assistant, never during the call itself.
Confirm, then relax
After setting the pair, ask "show me my upcoming calls" so Claude runs list_upcoming and you can see both reminders sitting at the right times. Confirming the zone here is worth the extra second, since an appointment is unforgiving about the hour.
If the appointment is rescheduled, one message fixes it: "Move both dentist reminders to the 19th." Claude updates each run_at and reads the new times back to you.
