POST /reminders
curl -X POST https://api.reminderit.com/reminders \
  -H "X-API-Key: $REMINDERIT_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "title": "Stand-up",
    "messageText": "Your stand-up starts in 5 minutes.",
    "type": "recurring",
    "cronExpr": "55 9 * * 1-5",
    "timezone": "Europe/London"
  }'

How it works

  1. 1

    Create an API key

    Sign up, verify your number, then open Settings → Developers and create a key.

  2. 2

    Call the API

    Send the key in the X-API-Key header. Create one-time or repeating reminders in any IANA timezone.

  3. 3

    We place the calls

    At each time ReminderIt places the call, and follows up on WhatsApp if it's missed. Read the call logs to see how it went.

What you can do

  • POST /reminders

    Create a one-time or repeating reminder (cron or every N days).

  • GET /reminders

    List your reminders with their next call time.

  • PATCH /reminders/{id}

    Change any field — set active to false to pause.

  • DELETE /reminders/{id}

    Delete a reminder.

  • GET /usage

    Your calls used and left.

  • GET /logs

    Recent reminder calls and how they went — answered, no answer, failed.

Good to know

  • Download the OpenAPI 3.1 spec from the API reference, or import it as a ChatGPT custom GPT action.
  • Calls go to the number on your account, or to people who have agreed to your reminders.
  • API calls use your plan's monthly calls like any other reminder.
  • Keys can be revoked anytime in Settings → Developers.

One plan includes every feature. See pricing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I authenticate?

With an API key from Settings → Developers, sent in the X-API-Key header on every request.

Can I call any phone number?

No. Reminders call the number on your account, or people who have agreed to your reminders. Nobody is called without consent.

Is there an OpenAPI spec?

Yes — OpenAPI 3.1. Download it from the API reference page. It also works as a ChatGPT custom GPT action.

What does it cost?

There's no separate API price. API reminders use your plan's 70 calls a month, and subscribers can add extra calls from $0.15 a call.

Is there an MCP server?

Yes. Use the hosted connector link with Claude or ChatGPT, or install reminderit-mcp from PyPI for Claude Desktop.
